Why This Exists
That is why we focus on seniors. Many seniors live alone, and when they face something like cancer, they often do not have consistent support. No one there day to day. The kind of isolation my mom went through is not rare.
This exists to change that in a real way. To make sure fewer people have to go through something like this alone.
What We Saw Up Close
When my mom had cancer, she went through treatment away from our family. She was alone most of the time. What stood out was not just how hard the treatment was, but how isolating it felt. Long days by herself, dealing with something overwhelming without real support. It showed me that even when someone is getting medical care, they can still feel completely alone.
That experience changed how I think about what people actually need. Sometimes it is simple. Someone checking in. Someone to talk to. Someone just being there. Those things are often missing.
What We've Experienced
This started from something personal. Five of my close family members have been diagnosed with cancer, and three of them have unfortunately passed away. Being around that changes how you see it. It is not just about treatment. It is everything that comes with it.
